Manuel Antonio National Park
One of the most celebrated National Parks in Costa Rica. Located on the Pacific Coast near the town of Quepos, it takes about 3.5 hrs. to reach from San Jose by bus with one rest stop along the way, or 2.5 hrs. by car. According to the Costa Rican National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC), the National Park hosts over 352 species of birds, 109 species of mammals, and 346 plant species among a variety of marine fauna. Spend your leisurely time walking the various trails or relaxing on the white-sand beaches.
