Located about an hour's drive from the San Jose International Airport. Several trails exist which pass through parts of the cloud forest that provide opportunities to observe the fauna and flora. Over 250 species of birds are listed for the area, besides other kinds of wildlife. Extant on the property is the Miguel Alfaro Research Station where students from nearby schools can learn about ecological and environmental issues.
